The  Navidad Valley CattleWomen assisted the Colorado Soil and Water Conservation District #333 in the Ag Fun 1.2 Program held on May 5, 2011 at Beason's Park in Columbus.  Over 400 Colorado County 1st and 2nd graders visited a number of stations where age appropriate information was shared on a topic that was agricultural in nature.  The CattleWomen discussed how youth can Power Up with lean beef as part of eating a balanced diet with a focus on ZIP:  zinc, iron and protein.  Dried beef sausage samples were also distributed.
