​2022 Scholarship Opportunity

Navidad Valley CattleWomen Association has awarded over $70,000 dollars in scholarships to local high school students since 2005.  If you would like to apply for a scholarship from Navidad Valley CattleWomen Association, please download  the forms below.
The Navidad Valley CattleWomen (NVCW) are seeking applicants for their 2022 Scholarships. Due to the generous support of the community of the 5K Ranch Run in August, numerous recipients will be awarded a scholarship of at least $500 with a total of $10000 being distributed.

To qualify, applicants must be a resident of Lavaca, Fayette, or Colorado counties and must be a senior in high school or the equivalent thereof. A completed NVCW scholarship application must be submitted along with an essay about her/himself, any agricultural influences and goals, involvement in the beef industry, and goals in life. Applicants must submit a copy of his/her transcript through mid-term of their senior year, rank, and GPA. The winning applicant(s) will be paid a one-time award to be used toward tuition or other education-related expenses.

Payment of scholarship will be made when the NVCW have received proof of enrollment at an accredited college, university, or technical school.

Applications may be downloaded atwww.nvcw.org. Completing and downloading should all be done from the website - save to your computer, then print for wet signatures and mailed to Kay.  Applications must be postmarked no later than March 11, 2022.  IF you download the file, be sure to open in Acrobat or comparable pdf program to be able to fill, sign and mail to Kay Gibson 2321 Schulze Road, Muldoon, Tx 78949.

The Navidad Valley CattleWomen, a local chapter of the Texas Cattlewomen, is a non-profit organization that supports and promotes the beef industry. The Navidad Valley local works to support local youth with scholarships and provide quality information on the industry and how to incorporate beef into a healthy diet. Additionally, they work to support the community with targeted outreach projects that include a beefy twist.
